Every calculator on this site uses real industry pricing data: AHRI-certified equipment performance, manufacturer MSRPs, DOE climate-zone load assumptions, and Bureau of Labor Statistics HVAC wage data. Pricing is updated quarterly to keep estimates accurate.

The site is independently operated and not affiliated with any contractor network, manufacturer, or home services company. We earn revenue through display advertising and, on some pages, referral commissions from home services platforms when readers request contractor quotes — but these commissions never influence the calculator outputs or our content.
